ocean's 11

Tagged by Farah of Changing Lanes Blog. Thanks girl, really had fun! Aliw doing this. :)

Name 11 people you can think of right off the top of your head. Don't read the questions underneath until you write the names of all 11 people. This is a lot funnier if you actually randomly list the names first.. No cheating.

2. Kaye. (just texted her, party planning for her housewarming cum birthday this coming April)
3. Hubby. (I wonder if he'll eat dinner here.)
4. Tito Willy. (he got my email kaya re: perfume order?)
5. Ricelle. (miss our chika moments, texted me earlier she went back to work na!)

7. Ico (seated next to me, busy downloading music from limewire)
8. Lhotte. (miss my sister. I wonder if she's at work now)

HOW DID YOU MEET #4? Through hubby. Hubby's (and everybody in the family) favorite uncle. Very generous and selfless. Love you Tito Willy. I miss you.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITHOUT # 6? I don't know who will handle her Corporate accounts! I'll be defintely doomed. Hahaha!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF #2 AND # 6 WERE GOING OUT? Hmmm..possible but definitely ultimate tsismis and shopping spree ito! lol.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF #5 CONFESSED HE/SHE LOVES YOU ? Surprised! Not sure if she'll say that..too mushy!! hahaha!

WHOS #10'S BEST FRIEND? Naku, don't know. Blogging friends pa lang kami. Di pa ganoon ka-close.Hahaha!

HAVE YOU EVER EATEN AROUND #1? Yes, yes!

DO YOU MISS #2? Yes. She's busy with house preps and baby number 4.

WHO IS #11 DATING? Her husband, Wee.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF #3? My world. My love, my life and my everything! :)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF #9? SHOPPING!!! LV BAGS!! Seriously, good Mom to Sophia and wonderful wife to Jon.

WHAT WOULD U DO IF #4 AND #7 WERE DATING? Hahahah! Very impossible! Mag-lolo na sila. Hahaha!

WHO DOES #2 LIKE? Of course her husband Jeje only.

WOULD YOU MARRY #8? Nope. She's my sister!!

DO YOU LOVE #10? Hahahha... too early to tell pa! Love her shopping and mommy kwentos! :)

EVER SLEPT IN THE SAME ROOM AS ANY OF THE NUMBERS? Most of them, except no. 9 (jane) and 10 (farah).

I am tagging Jane (sorry, nadamay ka dito! lol.), Jody and Tet.

Holy Week Celebration

How was your holy week celebration? Ours, was kinda full. Observed the traditional holy week practice with Mike's family, enjoyed the long weekend and spent quality bonding moments with Kuya Ico and Sam. Truly a relaxing and rejuvenating break.

Maundy Thursday: Visita Iglesia
Eversince Mike and I became a couple, we promised that we will observe the Visita Iglesia to do the traditional Stations of the Cross. No new church visit this year. But we opted to visit mostly Pasig churches due to its proximity: St. Anthony inside Greenwoods, Old Pasig Church, Montefalco Parish along C. Raymundo and Sta. Rosa de Lima. Then went to our fave Quezon City churches: Sta. Clara in Katipunan, Sta Maria Della Strada and Christ the King as our last stop.

We started quite late about past 6pm and finished the Stations of the Cross around 10pm. Sam was tired the entire trip but I am one happy mom... the bratinella was very cooperative and even prayed with us during the enitre Stations of the Cross. Big girl na talaga! :)

Good Friday: Procession at Palatiw

My MIL ensured that the Bunas-Soriano clan will jointly observe the Holy Week celebration by sponsoring one saint/float every Good Friday. The assigned float (San Juan Bautista) was completely adorned with flowers bought from Dangwa the day before. As our share, we were in-charge of the personalized shirts worn by the procession followers and prepared simple dinner for them. This has been our "panata" or devotion every Lent. It was a very tiring day for us. Aside from being busy preparing food for over 70 pax, we joined the procession too! Btw, was proud with the little girl. She enjoyed walking and smiling at people. She was able to complete half of the procession trip not being carried by yaya or me.

Black Saturday: Life's a Picnic at Heritage Park

Celebrated this day with a trip to Hertiage Park to visit my Dad. It was my Dad's 2nd Death Anniversary last March 13 and I failed to visit him due to my scheduled legal interview at QC Registry of Deeds.

Anyway to make up for it, celebrated the entire Black Saturday afternoon with a picnic at Papa's grave. We enjoyed this outdoor treat so much. Very relaxing and tipid bonding moments with the family. Highly recommended. We simply ordered pizza and chicken from Shakey's, grabbed some chips and soda...and presto, picnic perfect on a lazy Saturday afternoon! Btw, Ico and Mike had a grand time playing catch/throw football while Sam enjoyed riding her bike.

Easter Sunday: Blessing of the Car

Finally, had the car blessed at Christ the King before attending the Easter mass celebration. Weee..pwede na i-break in for long-drive yun car! lol. :)

The World is Mine.

Those who own the world see it differently. What most consider conventional contradictions, they see as a seamless fusion. Bold yet refined. Rugged yet stylish. Brimming with power, yet safe as home. A symbol of strength, yet a vision of beauty. Teeming with cutting-edge technology, yet interfaces effortlessly with its master. A luxury SUV unlike any other - the new Toyota Fortuner.

Very nice caption ... it gives you sense of power and control. Makes you proud and fortunate (kaya nga fortuner brand name nya, bwahahaha!) of owning one. And we are happy to say, we are now proud parents of this car. The dream of owning big, family SUV car ... finally a dream come true!

The car was released today at 240pm from Toyota, Ortigas. Since hubby was needed back at his office, he allowed (and trusted!) me to drive the car from the casa to our house. As in alone ha!! It was my first time to drive SUV...as in ever, in my entire life!! Hence despite the cold aircon of the car, my palms and feet were sweaty! As in praning the entire drive! Naka-hazard pa ako nyan on my way home! lol.

Look at our pictures below, di naman kami mukhang excited sa casa kanina noh?!?!

Our new baby arrived safely at half past three. Fits just perfect inside our garage. Real beauty!

No travel plans yet for "break-in" this Lenten Season. Probably next weekend na lang...if di na traffic! :)

So ... no more bags, watch, shoes and shopping galore for me for the next couple of years. Less starbucks coffee, extravagant travel plans and expensive dining na rin siguro! Hahaha! With the new baby, need to be a responsible parent, you know! Ako taya paying the monthly dues for this car...kaya, the world is really mine! nyahahaha!

I hope we really made the right choice ... well, I believe it was really a good decision.

something big is coming...

The past two weeks can be described as hell-week for hubby and me. Nope, it is not about the family or work-related concerns... but, we've been very busy with financial planning, careful selection, getting reviews from families and friends and ... more of negotiating!

Thus, after the two-week stressful exercise ... we've finally made the choice! (believe me, really had a hard time choosing! I was soooo mentally stressed! Ang sakit sa ulo!?!)

So guys...this is it!!! The something big … is a BIG EXPENSE.

Had a difficult time choosing between this and this … both real beauty. Strong, powerful, rugged at the same time stylish…very manly and I simply love it.

Early morning today … we sealed our fate.

Tomorrow the new baby will be home. :)

Moving Up Ceremonies

Sam had their Moving Up ceremonies last Saturday. She finally graduated as Junior Nursery from Fairchild Learning Center. Despite starting late last year (November), she was able to cope up with the class activities and lessons very well.

Believe me, I am one proud momma! She showed no tantrums at all during the entire ceremony. I know she's not comfortable with her white dress and shoes but nevertheless, she showed great ease and performed her I Love You piece very well. While other kids were shy and crying, Sammie went up to the microphone, stood proud and sang amidst the crowd! Weee..happy, happy she's not shy anymore!

Btw, Sam received a gold medal for Best in Math! Galing-galing! Di nag-mana kay Mommy! lol.

something old, something new...

Promised myself last January to retire my old LV wallet. It served its purpose for quite sometime now...and I think I've maximized and fully depreciated the purchase already (got this 2nd hand from my friend 7 years ago..and 3-gives pa! hahaha!)
my old LV porte tresor wallet -- look at the edges, totally worn out!

new LV monogram canvas pochette wallet -- different style but same look

side by side ... something old, something new!

Thanks Jane for buying the LV wallet from Guam. Good buy especially it is tax free!! (and plus my discount/xmas gift pa from you!) lol.

Sad to say, this is my last LV purchase for the next couple of years siguro. Need to save na talaga since we are up to something big next month! See.. I know when to stop. Very sensible shopper noh! Hahaha!

What's up with Sam?!

Been very busy lately that I have forgotten to post updates of my little girl, Samantha Gabrielle (Sam).

Allow me to provide updates about her on bullet points, shall we?

  • Sam is 3.4 months old now. Very active and happy kid...kinda bratty lately. (Need to give her brother soon!)
  • About to end her crash nursery program this week. 'Crash class program" since she just started her formal classes last November. Over all, was happy with the result. She learned a lot (as in a lot!) since November from alphabet and number recognition/writing/sounds, vowels and consonants, identifying shapes and colors, learn new songs, few ballet dance steps, different season/weather (heard her reciting the other day.. winter, spring...then to weather cloudy, rainy..etc), fruits and veggies, pray, following instructions and a lot more.
  • She can communicate well. Clearly can tell what she feels and thinks. She can even tell you what food delivery she likes! ie: Mc Do, Jollibee, KFC, siomai or pizza!
  • Enjoys her puzzles a lot. Moved to slighlty complicated puzzles minimum 40 puzzle pieces.
  • Very much toilet trained. No diapers anymore especially at night time. (tipid na!!)
  • She'll be graduating this coming Saturday, March 15 from junior nursery at Fairchild Learning Center. Naakss..graduation pa talaga complete with graduation outfits!
  • Finally, decided on enrolling her at Poveda Lerning Center as nursery. Classes will start on July 2.
  • Enlisted her for a summer camp at Futbol Fanatics as Beckham Buddies (age 3-5 years old). Will take her at Meralco Fitness Center Ortigas for summer session, weekends at 4-5pm starting April 5.

So far...these are top of my mind updates of my bratinella girl.

Really, time flies so fast....and she'll be entering big school this coming July! Oh my, my baby is gone!?!!

Check out her recent pictures below... at nagmo-model na! haaayyy...

6 quirky things about me

I believe I already accomplished this quirky/weird things tag couple of months ago from my other blog.

Anyhow, will re-post my answer for this new blog. Thanks for the tag Chat.

... At night, I would constantly rub my feet on the bed sheets to put me to sleep.

.... I love the sound of water trickling from the faucet/shower. Every time I use the bathroom, I would open the faucet/shower to wash my hands/feet or just because I want to hear water trickling from the faucet. weird, huh?!?

...Because I love water so much, it pisses me so much if there’s no water! I can’t stand being at home knowing that there is no running water available anytime I want it

....I am an OC cook.

  • I am not comfortable if I have a missing ingredient in my recipe! If I can’t buy the ingredient I needed from the nearby store, I would rather change my menu for the day and re-sked the originally planned menu until I complete the missing ingredient.
  • More weird, I am very particular how the ingredients like fruits and veggies are cut. Even the cut-size should conform how I wanted it to be on my food.
  • The concept “clean as you go” clearly describes how I move inside my kitchen. I can’t stand seeing cluttered or soiled utensils while I cook.
... I prefer matching colors or set for the things I use at home. This goes for linens, towels, hand towels, rugs or even floor mats should be in matching sets when used. If ever one of the rugs got soiled, I would rather change all of it to achieve my desired quirk for matching sets.

... I have the habit of keeping all the "nice"/"branded" paper bags. For some time now, think I've accumulated so much that I can no longer find a place to keep them.

Next in line ...I am tagging my new blog friends Nol, Dez and Vien

preggo... NOT!

False alarm .... had my period yesterday.

All tension and stress were released when I had spa overload this week. I know its just a change in my cycle ... messed my pill intake kasi. Hahaha!

Hubby was a little disappointed, he 's very much excited to buy the pregnancy kit since last week. I told him not to be eagerly excited until mid of this month. Good thing I trusted my instincts... sayang din buying preggy kit noh! lol.

A teeny-weeny bit sad too. I was already thinking of shopping preggo clothes for me and new baby stuff for my baby which were not available during my previous pregnancy like maclaren strollers. It's like preggy shopping time back with a vengence or a shopaholic with a baby series! Hahaha!

Oh well, next time....back to baby making this year again. hahaha! And hopefully, be preggy by third quarter for a 2009 baby BOY. Wish us luck! :)

Saturday Treats

Thankful for all the blog awards ... makes blogging really fun and exciting with wonderful blog friends around! :)

Thanks Tet for these awards. Awesome Saturday treat for me!

Thank you Yvelle for th Forever Friends award. Just like you, I am also hoping that we can all be friends both online and offline.

Spa Overload

SPA OVERLOAD ... had an ultimate pampering this week...
We just finished our two-day Spa Party for our valued-clients at the newly-opened Suriya Spa, Tiendesitas located near Fun Ranch. The place was exclusively booked to us and we were able to serve yummy cocktail food from Bizu. Since we were the host, we get to treat ourselves for a day of pampering too (actually days)! Had two-hour mind and body massage treatment on the first day ; hour and a half feet treatment with reflexolgy service the next day. Truly a body rewarding delight!!

I heart Suriya spa so much. As you enter the spa lobby you will be immediately greeted by smiling attendants, relaxing aromatic smell of oils, and minimalist decor. Love their facilities too. A rating of 10+ can be given for their modern and zen-minimalist design of rooms. No common spa room for guests. It's like having a spa treatment exclusively for you...even jacuzzi and beautiful overhead shower enclosures available in each room. Towels and robes are all soft, fluffy and scented. Rooms are spacious and soft-lighted. Mood music soothes you while having your treatment. The place really gives you a serene, calming experience. Highly recommended!

Do check out ... because I heart the place so much ... I am thinking of setting up a spa party here again. What do you think, mommy bloggers? Can we have our next EB exclusively here at Suriya Spa? :)

Am I Preggo or Not?

DELAYED...for two weeks now.

Haven't taken the preggy test yet since unsure if its just cycle change or I am really preggo! :) Missed taking my pills when hubby lefy for Hawaii last January. And since then, my daily pill-intake was erratic! Hahaha! Really bad!

Anyway, If I am indeed preggo, well ... it was really part of our plan to have baby this year. But hoping to have it delivered early next year sana (baby birthdate preferably summer so it will be timely for pre-school cut-off entry! nyahahaha!)

So
Jane and Peachy...sorry, nauna na ako! lol.

Let you know the verdict this weekend... will sked my preggo test with hubby. Really excited!

Welcome to my new home!

In this phenomenon that we call life … it’s always the first that is hardest to do, but certainly the most memorable! Your first kiss, first love, first heartbreak, choosing for your first designer bag, etc. Everything that is “first” certainly has that special place in your heart. Without further a due … my dear friends & blogmates … it is with great pride to announce my very first blog site (well, not exactly the first, but certainly one for the books)!

I can still feel the jitters whenever I think to myself that this is my first and very own blogsite! My new baby! :) The birth of this new blog was due to the fact that I need to move (evicted, if you will) from my free webspace. It has served its purpose for quite sometime now but I guess one needs to move on to create your own identity in the blogging world. Thus, I’ve created my own space by creating my own domain name. Yippeee!

Now I got my domain, what’s next? Well, I’ve been racking by brain for the past few days thinking of the perfect theme for my blog site. And finally, it dawned on me … why not blend my love for coffee and my passion for blogging! A perfect combination, as they say!

This blogsite shall be dedicated to all the facets of the celebration of mommy-hood everywhere! And not to mention the “in-betweens” of life, especially the travels and designer bags that I drool over just by thinking about it :) And yes, this blogsite also refers to the different aspects of mommy life … blah blah blah … and more designer bags … just kidding! :)
