blog updates ...

Can't do it at this time.

I've got so many things to blog about but got so little time. So many things happened in the past week, holiday celebrations here and there, outings and family gatherings. It's been a very, very busy week! Believe me.

After the Christmas Day celebration, more gatherings and road trips for the family. I wish I have time to post pictures and kwentos now but still busy for the new year's eve preparations. For the meantime, allow me to give you recap of our week.

Dec 26 : Road trip at Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine with hubby's family
Dec 27 : Enchanted Kingdom with the entire family -- all 20 of us!
Dec 28 : Mano Po themed post-Christmas family reunion at Jade Palace.
Dec 29 : Annual holiday get-together with my highschool barkada
Dec 30 : "Pamanhikan Day" of my BIL at Tagaytay.
Dec 31: New Year's Eve celebration at our house for my immediate family.

Whew, really busy huh! I haven't had the chance to relax and enjoy my long holiday break! Waahhh!! But, it's really worth it. Being with the family and spending the holiday break with them. Can't ask for more. After all, holiday means spending time with the family. And what better way to show appreciation and love for them, is to provide them term life insurance quotes options. Think this is the best gift I can give all of them this season.

extra treats

The husband can't simply say NO. Yes, I've proven this over and over again. lol.

After getting me the LV Vernis bag two weeks ago, he finally gave-in to my "parinig" gift wish on the eve of Christmas. He asked me to accompany him at Podium Mall to get my Christmas present. Hahaha! Yes, I know in my heart that he'll get me the watch this year. I am 100% sure of it weeks before Christmas which is why it was no longer a surprise when he told me we will go at the Podium Mall. You see, the husband prefers to give me jewelry (or watch) than bags, and I know this was his original plan for my christmas gift... to finally get me the watch.
And the LV bag ... just came in as an extra bonus. Hahaha! He can't say NO with the friendly payment scheme and of course, with all my pleadings. After all, I proposed a win-win proposition just to get my wish bag. I told him my payback time will happen on our upcoming anniversary. You see, I plan to get him of course a new toy gadget. Another Compaq laptop with better laptop memory. So I guess this made him said yes easily. lol!

So here I am giddy-happy at the Philip Stein store on the eve of Chirstmas (see pictures below). Finally getting my present from hubby. He bought me the red mother of pearl teslar watch. And the extra straps (black and white), charged to my account. Dyahe na ako to ask from hubby pa. Abuso na daw! lol.

So, it was really a happy, happy Christmas for me. Got all my presents in RED. Hahaha! Can't ask for more. I am so blessed with a loving, generous and ever-sweet husband. I love you so much!! Mwaahhh!! Really thankful having you as my dear hubby. :)

And to my dear bloggers out there, hope you got all your Christmas wish from "santa" too. Happy Holidays!

christmas treats

Happy Christmas Dear Bloggers!

So how was your Christmas celebrations? Ours was kinda hectic. Actually, we've been stopping from one place to another on the eve of the Christmas. Lunchtime spent with the kids at the mall for last minute shop for Kuya Ico, by afternoon with hubby to get my Christmas gift (will blog separately about this), dinner was spent with the inlaws to celebrate their wedding anniversary, passed by Moms house after for their gifts. And for our last stop, noche buena feast and traditional gift-giving with hubby's relatives in Pasig. Wheww... we didn't even had time to open our own gifts under the Christmas tree. Hehehe! Anyway, sharing some of bits and pieces of our Christmas pictures below.
Samantha opening Kuya's present just before we hit the road (with cousin Ate Shai)

Christmas pix at MILs house (pardon the blurry pictures) ; Daddy and Sam opening gifts at 2am.

Yes, we started opening our Christmas gifts about 2am or as soon as we arrived home. The little girl was tired and sleepy by then but she was still in her best mood when she started opening some of her presents. Her plan to sleep was forgotten! She was thrilled and very much excited! We let her open some of her gifts before sleeping that is why instead of opening her gifts by the Christmas tree, hubby and Sam opened their gifts on the bed. Hahaha! And speaking of bed, looking at the pictures above, I think the plan to get new bed frames should be prioritized by early this year. My goal for 2009 geared towards home improvement. And our bed needs immediate replacement. lol.
We didn't have the chance to hear mass on the eve of Christmas. It was decided by the family (and elders) to visit and hear mass after Christmas at Our Lady of Manaoag. Thus, still tired from the Christmas dinner we hosted for the family the night before, we drove all the way up north to hear mass.
Anyway, more holiday posts and kwentos to follow on the next days. For now, need to prep for our Enhanted Kingdom trip with the entire family.

truffettes de france

Another sweet treat this Christmas season.

Can't think of any other items to give my SILs and MIL. Thus, I opted to grab French Truffles (truffettes de france). Super yummy melt in your mouth goodness! Good truffles, soft and coated with a dusting of cocoa powder. Another fave chocolate treat of Samantha lately. She can't get enough of these truffles. Would you believe she can finish one truffle box in one seating? Grabe noh!?! She eats the choco as if she's just chewing popcorn. Really bad.
Anyway, I wonder if the Royce chocolates will be as good (or better) than the Truffettes de France. I've heard Royce chocolates equally sinful. Thus, I am excited to visit their newly-opened store in Power Plant Mall to check this out. Plus I need to check out the melissa shoes from Anthem. I was told they are on sale now. I am thinking of grabbing nice pair of gold melissa slip-ons for myself this christmas. Both excited with the chocolates and shoes. Nice combination, huh!
Lastly, goodbye to my diet plans and program excercises this season. The yoga videos I bought online on sale will have to wait. With all the festivities and sweet treats, I don't think all my diet plans will work. Perfect excuse not to watch my weight this holiday season. lol.

something RED ...

for Christmas. Wish granted.

Received my early Christmas present ... actually, heaven-sent gift. Unplanned and totally unexpected. The timing was quite off but with the unbelievable price and great payment scheme, who wouldn't take it? Hahaha! Hubby was even pleased and thankful ... he gave me my Christmas present in an instant. lol.

Meet my new baby ... LV Vernis Bellevue GM in Pomme de Amour color. Really stunning!

So goodbye to my Philip Stein teslar watch ... again. Probably on my 2009 Christmas wish list you will see this again...and again or until the husband gives in. Hahaha!

And goodbye to my travel plans for next year. I don't think the husband will agree on my trip to US particularly Vegas. My dream to stroll the las vegas strip will have to wait. Hopefully mid-2009 we have extra moolah for our international trips. Let's see. At this point, too early to tell yet.

the little angel

Just look how adorable she is. My little angel ... she looks so fragile and delicate.

The Nursery Class Rm 5 (angels) sang last Wednesday at their pre-school department Christmas Play. The kids happily and proudly showed their parents their Angel Song (Gloria!) Some pictures before their presentation ...

Picture above Sam with her BFF Valerie.
The angels in action ... singing Gloria! (pardon the pictures, yaya was in charge of the cam)

2nd week of December ...

passed unnoticed.
It was kinda hectic and chaotic. So many parties and family gatherings. Well, what can you expect ... it's Christmas season. Haven't posted any blog update for the past two weeks. Hehehe! Anyway, allow me to do some recap for my week.

Monday, December 8
*Work. Busy as ever with the OPEX-budget season.
*Samantha break again from school. No classes again for the bratinella to celebrate Immaculate Concepcion Day.
*Had small dinner with the family with the arrival of our fave uncle from Saudi.

Tuesday, December 9
* Work. Still busy as ever.
*Met with my highschool friends at Tiendesitas to prepare for our upcoming barkada Christmas party.

Wednesday, December 10
* Watched Samantha's Christmas play at St. Paul. She came in angel costume as the nursery class sang Gloria in Excelsis (not sure of the title, though)
* Picked up my Christmas present from hubby (wohooohoo!) -- can't wait to share this!

Thursday, December 11
* 2nd day of Sam's Christmas play. This time hubby watched the play.
* Had visitors from New Zealand at home. Hubby's cousin who will be married this coming December 22.
* Missed going to another telco Christmas party in Makati. I was too busy! hahaha!

Friday, December 12
*Attended Sam's Christmas party in school. Samantha went home with lots of loots. Played with the kids and had a blast getting prizes for the girl.
*Filed for VL to do my shopping in Glorietta.
*met with MBAPs: Jody, Joy and Peachy after doing my shopping. Had a great time with our "chismisan" at UCC. Then we trooped to our fave shop at Greenbelt -- the LV boutique. Had great time trying on the bags! Babaw noh?

Saturday, December 13
*Hubby's department Christmas party at our house.
-I was busy the entire day preparing for hubby's Christmas party. As usual, cooked food for 20 pax. Prepared Korean beef stew and Chicken corn to share. Supposed to attend wedding of my colleague at Clark Pampanga but opted to stay to help hubby.

Sunday, December 14
* "Pamanhikan day" of my brother. Together with my family, we went to his fiancee's house and discussed their wedding plans for next year. As a tradition, we brought lunch for my soon-to-be sister in-law's family.
* After the pamanhikan, hubby and I went to Podium Sale. Grabbed some nice items here on a discounted amount. The little girl got another toy (puppy in my pocket mini-hospital) as an extra treat.
*It was MIL's birthday. We had dinner at their house. Went home late since the bratinella enjoyed her time with her cousins.

Wheeww...it was really a busy and hectic week for me. This week more dinners, family gatherings and Christmas parties to attend. With all these late-night partying and excessive eating out need to observe my diet. As a matter of fact, I missed taking my weight loss pills. Very bad. Need to shape up especially summer season is almost near.

the chirstmas tree ...

is finally up.

Thanks to hubby and his drinking buddies who were present the other night. They helped him set-up Christmas tree in less than two hours. Wow!! Of course with so much bribing, they set up the tree in exchange for their sizzling pulutans. Hahaha! The tree was up much faster than I expected. I haven't finished preparing their food when they called me and showed their masterpiece. With much delight, instead of pica-pica food only, I even prepared simple dinner for the guys. Dinner consists of fat, buttery meal sizzling steak with gravy. Thus, they need to take diet supplements and go to the gym after eating the sinful meal. And add loads of beer intake, believe me... they didn't bother to watch their diet that night. lol.

Taa-ddaaa .... the Christmas tree, same ornaments from last year. Nothing new, just replaced some of the lights.

No gifts under the tree yet. Still lazy to wrap all the toys I bought from the TK sale. Besides, I am not yet done with my list. Haaayyy...probably next week.

RED-y for the Holidays

Tis the season to be RED. After all, it’s Christmas. And for this year…think I’ve been oh-so good that I deserve a reward from hubby. Lol.

So for my Christmas wishlist … I so want all things big and in RED. (hehehe!)

1. Philip Stein Teslar Watch in red lizard strap:
This was posted last year as one of my wishlist. And it’s back again...with a fiery RED vengeance!lol. Despite the reasonable price, you will be surprised how I de-prioritized getting this watch and buying LV bags instead. You see, I am adamant that hubby will get this watch for me. I’ve been patiently waiting. Besides, it was promised … and this year I vow to collect. Lol.

2. LV Vernis Bellevue GM in Pomme de Amour color (red)
Much pricey compared to item 1. But, if hubby will not bring me to Hawaii this coming January 2009, I might ask him to get this instead. With the high airfare cost, and with the high forex rate, I think it will be wise to get this bag than hubby spending more on my travel accommodations. Think he’ll prefer this one over my travel pleas. Much cheaper and a win-win solution for both of us. (again, for practical reasons, I don’t mind if I don’t go...basta may uwi, ok na. Hahaha!)

3. LV EPI NOE in RED
As a back up plan …if hubby will say no to item 1 and 2, I think he will approve on this one. My only problem, I’ve been searching for good LV EPI NOE in RED for months now. No such luck, haven’t found the right one (or right supplier) for me. I am hoping and praying that will find my perfect bag-mate soon.

4. LV Neverfull MM Damier ---Pardon this edited post as of Saturday, December 6.

I saw the LV Neverfull MM Damier Canvas up close last Friday with Jody's supplier. I was able to post my wishlist above when I saw this new LV baby. Held it ... and tried it on and I can feel our instant connection! lol. I fell in-love with it in an instant. Aside from the dainty damier print, I love, love the RED bag lining. So pretty! Gives an oommmpph contrast with the dark brown bag. And I think Hubby will love this more. More budget-friendly. Hahaha! Anyway, I simply don't know why I am addicted to RED these days. Must be the season.

Aside from the RED gifts above, I am also hoping hubby will check out the green gifts I saw online too! Something eco-friendly such as the kitchen accessories water system and jet soda maker. It'll be nice addition to my kitchen gadgets. Do check this out. Ideal not only as gifts this Christmas but you can do your share by helping to save the planet.

How about you, have you prepared your Christmas wishlist?
