weight battle

I need to lose some weight and become slim!! Do you know the best way of losing weight and becoming slim? Some of my friends tried dieting, gym exercise, drinking diet pills and even considered surgical procedures but still not successful enough. Food diet can be hard for me because it deprives me not to eat my favorite food. Exercising is also hard, because with the demands of my work lately, I have no time to go to gym and exercise. Drinking diet pills may not be hard, but the effect is slow. So while thinking on how to lose weight, I have the perfect plan for becoming slim. I’ll have a good diet without depriving myself of yummy food, exercise whenever there is time and have the best weight loss pills.

School Time

Its June already, that means one thing...school time for the kids. Thus, need to shop for the kids asap.So it's back to school shopping again as I need to buy new school materials for the kids. I don’t need to buy the basic school materials, like notebooks, crayons, etc., for Sam because her school already provides them. Luckily, I just need to buy her shoes, socks and undergarments for her school use. Unlike Sam’s school, Ico's school does not provide him any school materials. I need to buy Ico the usual materials such as pads, fillers, pens, and other art class parphernalias as per requirement. And since Ico is now in highschool I also need to buy him lab materials such as lab gowns, and safety materials like safety glasses for his Chemistry class. How about you, have you started your school shopping?

on ico's weight

Now I’m worried about my son Ico. He's gaining weight lately and becoming a couch potato. And since it's summer, my son not engaged in any sport activity but instead just lay on his bed all day and surfs the web or busy with his social networking accounts like facebook and friendster. He's already a teenager, and as far as I know teenagers always think about how they look. They put so many things on their face so that it wouldn’t have any pimples. Naturally, teeners want to look their best. They always look at the mirror and fix their hair for hours. And lastly, they overreact when they gain weight. Ico hasn’t done anything to lose weight, despite all our diet pep talks, he can't seem to lose weight. So I am looking for weight loss pills that work. Any suggestions?

Happy 6th, Migo!!

Migo turned six months last week, happy to say he's been doing well. At six months, his growth and developments quite advance fo his age. In fact, he now has two sets of teeth. Upper and Lower incisor teeth can now be clearly seen. With his teeth erupting months early, it was my cue to provide him solid foods. He's now eating stage 2 food from Healthy Options. His recent fave: carrots, apple, sweet potato, squash, peas and banana. He eats a lot, can even finish one jar of food in one sitting.

Physically, he can sit without support for a minimal time. Migo can roll back and forth in all directions without help. He moves fast when he wants something. Most of the time, he grabs our laptops as he loves to play with it. Well, generally he grabs anything, and put it inside his mouth. For speech development, he babbles a lot! Can even imitate sounds and sometimes our facial expressions too. He's starting to say ma-ma-ma as we encourage him to do so. Sometimes he can combine two-syllable sounds. Cute.

At six months, I am thankful he's not sickly at all. Immunizations and boosters completed for his age. Not fussy or cry-baby at all. Happy 6th Migo and we love you so much!! :)

on insurance renewal

It's the time of the year again, wherein all our cars due for insurance renewal. The price of our car insurance quite steep this year, blame it to the additional charges to cover the Acts of God incident. It used to be a FREE coverage as part of the insurance package. However, with the Ondoy (Typhoon Kestana) calamity last October, the insurance companies experienced heavy loss thus they've included this with a premium fee this year. The increase in price, depending on the year model and make of the car, but generally, an additional $50-$75 from the premium coverage. Now, with the high price of insurance, I am now shopping for the best online quote on the web. I need to be practical, as I need to pay two car insurance at the same month. I've checked Mercury insurance reviews online, and so far the rates looks appealing and competitive. I am still checking some insurance websites, comparing prices, terms and packages. And hopefully by next week I can decide as I need to insure all our cars by June 1st. Wish me luck.

baby shower

Another baby boom in the office now. Three of my colleagues are pregnant, and they are about to give birth in the next few months. As early as now we are preparing for their baby shower party, a little bit early, but this is to anticipate anything that might happen in the next few weeks. I've ran out of ideas what to give to the new babies, hence I've decided to give somehing for the mom instead. I find it useful and practical to get the new moms cocoa butter stretch mark, this works wonders for me. I used this product diligently when I was pregnant, and even continued using it until I gave birth. I am happy to say, it really minimizes the stretch marks brought by pregnancy. No dark lines seen and makes skin smooth too. No fear to wear bikinis, as stretch marks gone in a matter of few months.

Happy Mother's Day!

Motherhood is a 24/7 job. It is the hardest and most painful job but the joy and happiness is more than enough. Uncomparable and beyond words. Thank you Lord for the gift of motherhood! Truly a blessing and a privilege to be a Mom. Happy Mother's Day to my fellow online bloggers!

Anyway, how did you spend your special day? Mine was super terrific day. Spent the day with the kids, of course. Brought them to Fun Ranch Tiendesitas, and by evening we had late-dinner together with my mother in-law, brother in law and wife, the husband and Ico. I've been craving for oysters for the past few days, and since it's Mother's Day, I've requested to have our dinner at Via Mare... because of rockefeller oysters. LOL Then we capped our night by having dessert at Dulcinea for Churros con Chocolate. Simply perfect.

weight loss again

Yes, I am again faced with my weight loss battle. I've been trying several options for quick weight loss diet as I want to be slimmer by my birthday this coming June. I've successfully shed off around five pounds last month, and I do hope and pray that this will continue in the next few months. Thanks to the diet pills, and L-Carnitine supplements I've been taking, it improves my metabolism rate. Thus, I do burn weight much faster than before. This week, I also enrolled to a yoga class ... Ashtanga Yoga to be exact and hopefully the program will be helpful in my goal to lose 15 lbs more. Let's see. Too early to tell.

weather change

Last week, the little squirt had a bad case of colds. He's been sneezing non-stop and little bit fussy as he can't get enough sleep. Blame it on the erratic weather here in Manila. It's very, very hot lately with temperature averaging from 34-36C. I think this is the hottest summer we ever had in years! Then all of a sudden, will get rain showers in the afternoon, which is very unpredictable for a summer weather. Because of this, our present cooling system, aircon is not enough. He's thinking of upgrading our aircon from window-type AC to getting a split-type aircon, higher power probably between 2-3 HP. Together with the AC, the husband is planning to get dehumidifier as well. To eliminate indoor odor and to clean or purify the air at home. This is very important since we have a baby. Clean air means less bacteria, and my little squirt will be protected from allergies brought by impurified air.Smart move for the husband. I hope he'll get to choose the proper AC and vent soon.

change of heart

Change of heart ... again. This time with my recently purchased Goyard GM St. Louis black bag. I am selling it at a very, very reasonable price. Don't get me wrong, I love this bag to bits! It's practical, functional, sturdy and convenient to use. But since I have my Goyard St. Louis PM (small) in yellow, think I am willing to let go of my GM size ... to upgrade to another Goyard model -Fidji Hobo. My friend will be going to Paris next month, and I am asking her to get me Fidji hobo either with the same color (black) I have now, or the limited edition pink or the heavenly white.

But, before I grab another bag ... need to dispose my GM first. Otherwise, I don't have money to buy the fidji bag. Hahaha! I am soooo poor for the next two months, and April was my over-the-budget bag shopping month. Really, over the budget!! Blame it with the low Euro and USD rates. And my poor EQ to wait! Good thing the husband gave me an early pressy (cash), to pay my new baby from Paris. It's his birthday promise, you see. :) I am sure the husband will kill me if I get another new bag by June ,as I told him the C bag will be my last. Hehehe!

But sadly, after exchanging emails with Goyard Paris, I found out the Fidji bag's production stopped. It will be re-designed and will be available by end of the year. Check out the email below.

Dear Ms. Soriano,

Thank you for your message, and for your trust in Goyard. We are as always happy to be able to assist you !

Our Fidji hobo bags are going to be re-designed by the end of this year (they will especially feature a large portion of leather on their top parts, as well as an adjustable strap) ; so we are now selling the only colors we have left in stock, i.e. our light blue and orange tones. The re-designed Fidji hobo bag should be available by the very end of the year, around November or December.

We hope this will answer to your request, and remain at your disposal for any further help we may provide you.

Yours sincerely,
Florent Zanuto

multi-tasking talent

The husband is very busy lately, busy not only with his recent work with a foreign telecommunications company, he is also busy wth other business endeavors. As a matter of fact, I can't track how many consultancy services he accepted. Mostly telco-related business. And to top of it all, he is also busy with his personal business. Aside from traveling, back to back meetings and late night conference calls, he's busy doing some email correspondences with different foreign partners, globally. You would see him sometimes simultaneously engage in phone, while chatting with a different partner, answering correspondences via email and watching television. And that is multi-tasking talent. From telecommunications, to marketing to mining, he handles everything. I am surprised how he manages his time. I am not complaining. In fact, I know the husband is doing all these things for the family. And because of this, I am looking for the best multivitamin for men. The husband needs to be healthy, and be in top shape to address all his business dealings. He can't take a leave (since he's already working from home) and sadly, nobody will take his place to be his reliever.

on sleeping habits

Lately, my sleeping habits not good. My normal sleeping time is from 2am to 7am. And with barely five hours sleeping time, I can feel my body ready to give-in wthin a weeks time. Why the change of sleeping habits? Well... blame it on my excessive cappuccino drinking, late-night DVD watching, and mostly, taking care of my active little squirt. And because I lack sleep, I noticed major acne break-out on my face. Dark circles and wrinkles can also be found under my eyes. Thus, I am hoping to find an effective eye creams on the web. So far, haven't decided which best cream to use. Still undecided. And with hundreds of available eye creams in the market, need to read more, probably choose which one is effective based on surveys and customer's feedbacks and reviews. But for now, I need to consult my dermatologist first. Better to have my problems checked before I decide to purchase any eye creams.

timeless and classic ...

Of course, I gave in. After reading the post from TPF blog reasons why own a chanel flap ... naturally, I've decided to go for the ultimate mother's cum birthday gift. The Chanel Jumbo Flap. Yes, a BIRTHDAY and MOTHER's DAY GIFT rolled into one. And why the flap? It's timeless and classic. But seriously, with the amazing price in Paris, and with the Euro (and USD) really cheap now, who wouldn't grab the chance?! (even my birthday a month ahead...what the heck!LOL)
Believe me, before buying this bag I did a looot of research. So it was not bought on an impulse. A lot of (price)research, readings spent before I decided to get THE BAG. Mostly comparative pricing from Asia, US and Europe. And the verdict, the cheapest place on earth to get a Chanel ... from the fashion capital of the world, Paris!

Anyway, I am one happy baghag here. Finally, got the classic flap baby. I've posted the bag pictures below. Unfortunately, I think the photos don't do any justice in showing the real beauty of the bag. Perhaps the lighting not good or probably because I use an old point and shoot camera ... but nevertheless, it's a real beauty and nobody would argue with this classic piece, right?
