preparing for baby accessories

Hubby and I are now seriously considering having baby number two. With our eldest at four years old now, we strongly believe that it is about time we give her a playmate. As a preparation for baby number two, we are slowly talking to Sam the pro's and joys of having another baby in the family. Part of the preparation is ensuring I am physically and emotionally ready, as well as ensuring we are financially stable to raise another child.

Eagerly, I browsed the net for baby things available online. Last time I bought baby accessories (which was four years ago), there were few items available on the net. But at www.babything4u site, I was surprised new and fabulous baby prams and baby pushchairs can be bought online, complete three-in-one system in various sizes and colors. Pushchairs that can be used from birth, with forward and rearward facing chairs available from six months onwards. Price affordable too! And the site provides options for cheap or luxury traveling system available depending on one's budget. Ain't that makes soon-to-be preggy moms truly excited! Do check out this haven site for some on sale accessories! Durable and famous baby brands such as Graco, Cosatto and O Baby available at a sale price!
Now on to my next stop, online shopping for baby onesies and dresses!

Kuya Ico's wishlist

Over lunch last Sunday, Kuya Ico jokingly named his Christmas wishlist. Caught off guard, I told him it is still too early to think about his Christmas wishlist since we are not yet on the -ber months. Moreover, we are still in the middle of some financial obligations and the budget for Christmas gifts still undetermined. Meaning, too early to tell!

But Kuya took this chance and lovingly told me, the earlier I am aware of his wishlist, the better l can plan out and save up for his gift. Very witty! He actually itemized to me his wishlists for Christmas.

1. Since his computer kinda old and been slow lately, he's asking for new computer desktop with higher memory and RAM capacity. Complete with new version of viewsonic monitor for his online games and videos.
2. new PS3 that he's been eyeing for months now.
3. MAC book --- Very expensive toy for his age! But I was surprised that he was able to plan out how to get this gift! He told me he's thinking of asking cash gifts from his aunts ($100 each), lolo and lola's, his dad, from me and hubby. He computed how he can get $1K to buy his MAC book by asking us rolled-into-one gift for christmas, birthday and graduation gift.
Hmmm...still not sure about gift number 3. I still find it very expensive for his age! I am thinking of giving him hubby's old Compaq laptop and get MAC book for hubby instead! Since he's transferring bi-monthly from my place to his dad's place, think it is unwise to give him the MAC book. It's too much! Even if he can pool $1K to buy MAC, still a no-no.
Anyhow, since these are just wishes ... there are no guarantees it will be granted, right? He needs to work hard, get good grades and and show some responsibility to earn the gift. And probably (just probably) one of his wishes may do come true. Hehehe!

in search for corporate give-aways

With four months to go before the holiday season, as early as now we are starting to budget and look for possible corporate give aways to our clients. It has been a tradition of our company to provide gift baskets or souvenir items for our top corporate clients. These gifts are usually given as holiday gift, goodwill tokens, or thank-you presents to acknowledge the good business partnership or relationship shared for the year. Usually, we give our loyal customers with food hampers, wines, desk top calendars, corporate bags, key chains and pens. This year, our marketing team is considering giving something different or kakaiba such as company logo shirts , towels, watch and caps. Hopefully with the launch of our new corporate branding and logo, these company tokens will be an effective marketing and advertising tool for our company.

out of service phone line

It's been almost a week now since our landline phone was busted. Blame it on the typhoons lately; it seems our phone lines were grounded. We can't receive any incoming calls as well as we don't have any outgoing dial tone. I've been calling our landline provider (PLDT) almost daily, but it seems they are not interested to restore our line. My patience is running out and we need the phone lines badly. This is my way of checking our helpers daily activities. Luckily, the DSL is working despite trouble with the voice services.

As a temporary solution, I call my helpers through their personal mobile phones. Good thing the wireless signal is very strong in our neighborhood. Despite house and building obstructions, phone signal is still very strong. Thanks to cell phone repeater installed inside our village. I can easily get in touch with my helpers anytime I want to! Though the rate per minute is very expensive compared to fixed line, but I have no choice until my landline is restored. I just wish better customer service from my landline provider, PLDT. Coming from another communications provider, I expect better customer service from them since they are known as the benchmark of the industry. But boy, I was so wrong. Service is really bad! Oh well, what can I expect? Its been like this for years and years ... think this separates them from other telco provider company ...that is, bad service.

home improvement : mission accomplished!

Finally, our LCD tv already mounted on our red wall. This was hubby's weekend project. To have the TV mounted, and install the home theater 6-speakers surround system. Now happily I can say, mission accomplished. He even completed his task by setting up our old home theater system in our bedroom. Hahaha! Sinipag ata!

Now my next project, how to remove those exposed cables. Ugly sight, don't you think so? I am waiting for the availability of wireless home theater here in Manila. I saw on the web SONY wireless units, but the price still steep at $500-$700. Wish it can be locally available...soon!

Grabe, just noticed with the camera flash on ... super smooth and clean floor tiles ah! with matching reflection na from the centerpiece table! hehehe!

Hmmm... I think need to buy centerpiece accents too. The existing centerpiece accent kinda sad and boring. Need to spice it up! I can't wait for our incentive release this week for another home shopping! :) Any accent or decor suggestions?
