home renovation

The ancestral house of my in-laws currently undergoing home renovation. They've decided to expand the house by adding rooms for the kids, and update the house facade from the old 70's architecture to modern zen. Aside from focusing on the facade, they also upgraded the bathroom fixtures which includes bathroom tiles, toilets, sinks and shower faucets. Major overhaul, I would say. And in a few months from now, the house will be ready by then. Hence, we are all excited with the outcome of the construction.

Red again for Christmas!

Yes, received another RED gift again for Christmas from the husband. For three consecutive years I got RED gifts from him. From the RED-strap Philip Stein Teslar watch 2008, to RED Day SGH Balenciag bag 2009 ... and this year 2010, another RED gift ... THE packaging. Hahaha! Yes, the paper bag used comes in red color. And I am ecstatic, uber delighted with it! And love, love it to bits! =) So happy that my wish granted... thanks to my Santa honey. =)

smoking problem

Any suggestions how to quit smoking? I've been finding ways on how to stop the husband from smoking, but so far ... haven't found the right solution for him. I so want the husband to kick this bad habit out his system for years now but it seems he's getting worst every day. He used to consume five sticks per day, but lately he can finish one pack of cigarettes per day. Could it be caused by his stressful work? Very bad. And with his increase in cigarette intake, I am worried for his health. And he's not getting any younger ... he needs to be fit and ensure he's always on top shape. Hence, any helpful tips or suggestions how to quit smoking?

holiday rush!

As I will be very busy today with all the holiday preparations and Christmas parties ... I don't think I can still find time to search at barska for my brother's wishlist. He's asking me to chip in and get him a good precision binoculars for his new hobby, air soft games. He's planning to get one not only for his outdoor games but of course for stargazing, watching concerts and other sporting events. Wish I have more time to learn more about his binoculars request...looks promising but it will be difficult for me to get one now with all the holiday brouhaha ... perhaps, next year on his 34th birthday.

wishlist revised ...

There are only two timepiece that I dream to own in my lifetime ... The ultimate Rolex two-toned perpetual date-just and Cartier's tank watch. And since I can't afford my dream watch ...perhaps this Christmas, will be settling to own the tank watch! Now I am torn if will get the tank in silver stainless stell bracelet or leather strap. What do you think?

The Tank is a line of watches made by Cartier. It was created by Louis Cartier in 1917, and inspired by the new Renault tanks which Cartier saw in use on the Western Front[1], and the prototype watch was presented by Cartier to General John Pershing of the American Expeditionary Force. Its lines and proportions are similar to those of tanks found on First World War battlefields; it is both a square and a rectangle, and its straps are concealed under vertical sidepieces so as to be hidden from view. Tanks (usually) have blue, sword-shaped hands with silvered opaline guilloché dials. The winding crowns on Tanks, like those of most Cartier watches, have sapphire cabochons on them. The most recent version of the Tank is the Tank Française, released in 1996. -- wikipedia

for practical use

Few months ago, the husband and I seriously considering getting electric generators for home use. Since we would usually experience power fluctuations for hours in my side of the world, getting a generator would be a big help for the kids. And since we have a baby in the family, it is practical and wise for us to invest in one. Our contractor recommended getting honda generators for home use. Practical, economical and less noise with its quiet series. Highly recommended by my friends too.

home improvements - maid's room

Any idea where I can get mattress for sale? I need to buy one soon, not for our use but for our helpers room. You see, the current mattress they're using kinda small. single size. And I feel bad everytimne I see them trying to squeeze in one bed. Though it was ok few years ago, when we just had one helper. However, with our increasing family size ...we decided to get additional helpers. From one helper six years ago, we now have three house helps. Thus, the husband and I thinking of upgrading their present bed, from single to double size bed.

all i want for christmas ...

... is world peace.

But, if I can't have world peace. I am willing to settle for the following: (hahaha! i hope the husband can read this!)

1. quick get-away travel for the kids. destination: Hongkong. I so want to bring Migo (as it would be his first time) to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland.

2. And if I will be given moolah by the husband as a pressy, probably get myself new purse. The alexa mulberry "it" bag. Preferably oversized in oak color.

3. get myself new watch -- perhaps, the omega seamaster GMT... junior size.

Oh how I really wish ... with barely two weeks left, not sure if the husband planning to get me anything for Christmas. Though we don't shower each other with lavish gifts during the holiday season, we usually spend so much for anniversaries ..which is two months from now. Won't hurt if I get my anniversary gift in advance, right? In fact, it is much cheaper if he get me christmas cum anniversary gift in one. Hahaha! Yeah, really wishful thinking! =)

Longchamp LE crazy!

New addition to my growing Lonchamp collection, the Miyajima of Shinto Shrine, Japan. It arrived just in time for the holidays. LC Limited Ed short handle, lilac with black print.Very nice!! =)

Finally, my Longchamp Limited Edition collection now complete with the arrival of Miyajima. Phote below shows my LC collection, from Eiffel Tower of Paris in long handle, with blue and navy color to Great Wall of China Cabas in Taupe color ; New York's Statue of Liberty in black and gold print ... lastly the Miyajima of Japan. It's the next best thing since I haven't been completed or toured all these great places... oh, except Japan and New York! =)

Now off to my LC bag posts. Need to finish reading more on nanocleanse review. A new product emerging as an advanced exfoliating cleansing scrub that uses a combination of 3 of the most powerful acne fighters, and they have literally multiplied the concentrations used in any other treatment, with no nasty side effects. Think I need to get this cleanser soon =)

wrinkle cream

Any suggestions for an effective wrinkle removal? Not that I see wrinkles on my face yet, thank God but I think I need to start observing my beauty regimen to minimize wrinkles. Aside from getting myself moisturizers, eye creams and other anti-wrinkle products I need to observe my diet. And surprsingly, I learned from my friends that avocado fruit is a good source of healthy monounsaturated fat that may help to reduce level of a bad type of cholesterol in body. It is a good source of vitamin E and can help to maintain healthy skin and prevent skin aging. It is rich in potassium which helps prevent fluid retention and high blood pressure. Great fruit, eh? Avocado, anyone?

on getting fit

Any suggestion for best creatine powder? The husband is looking for one as he's seriously considering getting toned and fit in an instant. He's looking for a fast acting creatine component meant to surround the muscles for more energy and less muscle fatigue. Moreover, it should work at the first use and effective without putting a hole in my pocket.

acne problems

I am stressed so much ... add that I am having sleepless nights which caused my acne break-out. I worry too much about work as I am given new task for 2011. For next year, will be handling bigger role for the comapny --the Managed Services. With a huge target and growth expectations, I worry if I can handle the task. I tried fighting my acne problems by visiting my derma but the problem still persists. My friends suggested that I take acnepril ; herbal and all natural formula that eliminates the root cause of acne. Not sure yet to if I will try new things on my face but as my friends claims the acnepril attacks in three ways: it balances hormone levels, detoxify and cleanses body and skin tones and strengthens skin with essential nutrients. Sounds promising, huh. Let's see if this will work to fight all my acne problems.

Starbucks Limited Edition 2011 Coffee Planner

Yes, it's Chritsmas time ... and one of the tell-tale signs the holiday season already here, RED holiday cups from Starbucks and of course, the much coveted sticker-mania collection to get the Starbucks Coffee 2011 Planner. To get the planner, you need to collect nine (9) stickers from the holiday coffee collection (Praline Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte and Peppermint Mocha) and eight (8) stickers from the regular Starbucks coffee beverage. Very easy.

But as for me, I was able to get my planner the fast way ... by simply booking an event! LOL. Got Starbucks as one of my food carts at Migo's party and as a treat, I was given two planners for FREE! Should have been three but I was told the reservation fee I paid months ago not valid since it was settled prior the promo period. Oh well, still happy about it! Check out our new Starbucks planners: metal and velvet cover variety.

smoking cigars

Have you tried smoking cigars? My colleagues told me that they've tried cigars. So far, they liked the flavor as it good up to the last puff. One of our clients from Columbia brought sample packs and gave it away as thank you tokens and it was a big hit in the office. Everyone enjoyed it as it is full of flavor and aroma. The cigar was not bought directly from Columbia but instead he purchased it from the top cigars site available on the web. As per Pedro, my Columbian client, he got it at a discounted price and even offers delivery straight to the office. Do check out top cigars online.

on losing weight

My younger sister and I was all out for a friendly debate last weekend deciding what are the best diet pills available in the market nowadays. You see, both of us gained so much weight after giving birth and we haven't gotten our pre-preggo figure back. We tried several ways on how to lose weight such as dancing , gym excercises, belly-dancing, boxing and even running but so far, it was not successful for us. The result was slow and we end up eating more after all the rigorous activities. We've decided to try fat burning options such as the lipofuze reviews which I found online most helpful. As per article, excercise and eating less is not the answer in losing weight. What is important is to increase metabolism to burn more fat and suppress one's appetite. So far ...so good. I am on my second month and I love the results already. I've noticed the change in me when I took L-Carnitine products. Very effective. Try it out!

christmas shopping ...

batch 1 done. Already bought gifts for my female colleagues today to avoid the holiday rush. All items purchased from my favorite store, Rustan's (Makati) as they are the only store here in Manila who provides excellent customer service. Also, I heart how each item lovingly wrapped with pretty wrapper with trimmings ...a must for me! Bad confession ... I love buying (and shopping) gifts for people but I don't like wrapping presents. Got no talent on this! Hahaha! Hence, I leave all the packaging and gift-wrapping to Rustan's ...my ever-dependable store.

And for this season, I've decided to give my colleagues something useful for their travel. Aside from the usual beauty products which will be handy for trips, and travel organizers. I've also added best acne products to beat those unwanted zits caused by stress, dirt and pollution. Very practical and nice gift idea, don't you think so?

RL loots already here!

Yay! Super happy ... my online Ralph Lauren loots already here!! It arrived at the least expected moment which coincides to Migo's birthday! Really perfect timing! Am so happy with all my purchase for Migo. Five (5) RL polo shirts age 24 months, and one (1) pair of khaki shorts. And the best deal, got all items on sale! Weeeee!! =)

good business

Hooray to hubby's kumpare and best bud, Ricky! Finally, after years of hardwork, his farm business doing very well. In fact he now supplies live stock to major restaurants and markets in Manila. And with this overhwelming business growth, he needs to expand soon. He's seriously considering business expansion to widen his market reach. Thus, aside from being a wholesale supplier of meat, he's thinking of going retail. Perhaps set up his own brand of meat store. Cool eh? We are really happy for our friend as this is his longtime dream ...

Anyway, enough about our friend's success story. I promised my colleague will help her look for copper farmhouse sinks as she specifically want this installed in her new home. She can't find it in all the home depot here in Manila, and our last hope, to check online for possible stocks of copper sinks that will fit her country themed inspired kitchen. Tough job, eh?

new task for the team

Back from the cool breeze of Pina Colina, Tagaytay. After two days of sales planning, budget cuts and reviews, numbers for 2011 already crafted. The direction of the team as well as plans and programs already finalized. In fact, new table of organization for Bayan Business sales team already cascaded. Everything all set for next year.
And for 2011, will be handling a new role for the company. Aside from handling the Carriers and Partners data business, I am also tasked to grow Managed Services. This will be new source of revenue for the company as it will offer non-traditional telco transport services such as alarm monitoring, dispatch and even surveillance, CCTV or security cameras for business. The team is very excited as it will be a big task for all of us next year, and management even doubly excited as it will be infusing huge capex to fund our MS projects. Big, big challenge.

insurance quote

Any recommended sites for rv insurance quote? My aunt based in Indiana is thinking of bringing her family for a little rest and recreation trip but she's worried to bring her family without finalizing their rv insurance. Her previous policy does not cover some RV protection such as optional full replacement cost coverage for her vehicle, and this is a must inclusion in her policy. Thus, she's looking for policy upgrade now. Any recommendations?

insurance policy review

It's the time of the year again ... time to do my Christmas shopping! Really excited. But aside from doing my Christmas shopping, it is also time for us to review our car insurance policy for our Honda car. You see, the husband asked me to review our present policy as it does not cover Acts of God. This year, we want to include it in our policy but ... with a hope of not paying extra for this premium coverage. Any suggestions where I can get good deal for car insurance?

black friday sale 2010 tips

As I am getting ready for the upcoming Black Friday sale by browsing the net for good finds, I came across these helpful tips on how to enjoy and have a safe, fuss-free shopping. Read on.

Brad's Top 10 Tips for Black Friday Sales

1.Research: start your Black Friday 2010 sale research on Thanksgiving day or earlier.
2.Make a plan: identify what you want to buy, which stores have the best sales on Black Friday, and what time they open.
3.Timing is everything: arrange stores by opening time from early to late.
4.A fool and his money: be wary of Black Friday deals with quantity limits. If a store only has 10 items at that price, go elsewhere.
5.Visualize: know where your items are in the store.
6.Stay Safe: Previous Black Friday sales were honestly deadly; please don't trample or shoot anyone!
7.Power of numbers: go with a team and attack separate stores or separate sections of the same store. Designate a meeting place.
8.Bring a snack: only amateurs stop at the food court on Black Friday! (Or the bathroom - so go before you leave.) 9.The quiet ones: don't ignore stores that don't advertise. They will have Black Friday deals too!!
10.Have fun: enjoy your family, friends and deals!

black friday sale

Yes, I so look forward to the upcoming black friday sale. Done with my christmas list and checking it twice in preparation for my christmas shopping. in fact, I did some research already which store offers the best deal in town. Hahaha! Excited much, eh? Anyway, I hope I can get good finds for all my godchildren. As of my last count, total of 38 kids including neices and nephews. Whoa, I need huge shopping budget for this!! I sure hope my favortie online stores would release good discounts this year ...and hopefully, I'll get another set of buy.com coupons for my shopping. That would be a great steal!! =)

christmas wish list

Christmas is definitely here!Together with my blogging friends we already started our traditional exchange gift or kris-kringle online. And to avoid the holiday rush, we've decided to make gift-giving early to give us ample time to shop and send our gifts to our babies anywhere in the world. Really excited!!

And for my Christmas wish list, I hope my Secret Santa Mommy would send me any of the following:

Victoria Secret sleepwear - comfortable sleepwear for my everyday use =)
jammies set

ruffle slip for that sexy look

VS cotton nightshirts - preferable colors pink, lavander or red.

3. To protect me from cold, and still look be fab this holiday season... gorgeous Ralph Lauren sweaters to match my new dress. Lovely red cropped cardigan from RL.

on laptop insurance

Ever thought of getting laptop insurance? I never thought I will be needing one, until my son brought up the idea of getting laptop insurance for our security and protection. With the recent incident of laptop theft at my son's school, he told me to consider availing laptop insurance to avoid loss of important documents, and gadget for his school use. Since I gave his netbook as a graduation gift, he's very careful with his gadget for fear of losing and non-replacement should he lost the netbook. In fact, he's the one who told me that it is now possible to insure laptops used by kids in school, by putting tracking device to check location of laptop. Cool eh? Now I wonder if this will be an effective means of laptop security. What do you think?

Happy 1st Birthday, Migo!

Our little man turns 1!
Our little "kiat-kiat" is truly a blessing and he is Daddy's pride and joy.
Happy Birthday, Migo!! We love you so much.

on sale

I promised myself that I will never miss the upcoming Cyber Monday sale this year. My blogging friends were able to get best deals from last year's Cyber Monday sale and most of the items they got were almost 70% off on gadgets like camera and laptops. And since I am very much interested to get a Canon DSLR for the husband, I vowed this year, it will be online shopping with a vengence! LOL Other than the DSLR camera, I hope I can get good deals for laptops and home theater system for our family use. Do check it out, and don't miss the Cyber Monday Sale which will start on November 29th at 12:01AM EST. Happy Shopping! =)

jungle safari themed party

Fabulous! That is how I can describe my kids upcoming children's party this Sunday. Pure labor of love prepared months in advance. The jungle safari theme concept would definitely be a big hit. Looks like the over-all concept would be achieved from decors, balloons, music up to safari print table linens. Simply perfect. In fact, the event organizers thinking of even extending the theme not only to its buffet tables, but might include dressing up the seats with safari-inspired chair slipcovers. Think that would be lovely! If budget permits, I might add more animal balloons to complete the jungle look. Hah, really excited. Four days to go before the big event! =)

upgrade wish

If all our plans go well, and will be lucky this year, we might be able to get our dream iMAC upgrade come January 2011. The husband and I are reviewing our finances, and so far ... it looks like will have extra money to splurge and get the best PC available in the market... an iMAC. And with the planned upgrade, our present computer table will not be able to accommodate 21.5 in monitor. Given this, we are considering of getting rack mount PC for our home. Any reviews about this?

be organized!

Yes, that was my mantra last weekend ... be organized! As I was able to get my great buy from SM Home last clearance sale, I've decided to complete my three years pending task ... that is, to organize my shoe boxes. Luckily, I was able to get the shoe boxes on a buy 1 take 1 promo at P125.00, it motivated me to complete my pending task. Initially bought 15 pieces, a total of 30 shoe boxes from the sale but after counting my shoes ... I needed more! Thus, added 6 pieces or a dozen of shoe boxes the next day as back up for next shoes to come! Major, major hoarding eh? =) Do check out my shoes project above and let me know if you liked it =)

invites and cake

Yes, the hard copy of invites already here! As well as the name tags or stickers to be used for Migo and Samantha's party! I just can't wait! The family is excited with the party, and aside from Samantha who talks non-stop about her upcoming party. The mom -- equally and uber excited! Hahaha! With the invites already available, I am excited and thrilled to give-out the invites to my colleagues and friends next coming days.

Anyway, I am almost done with the kids party preps. Suppliers already sent their finalized design, costings and lay-outs ...all done with my approvals. Everything in order, except for my cake supplier!! I am now having second thoughts with my cake supplier, Veronica of Les Sucreries. Though her works are extremely nice, I am now in panic. I haven't seen the final lay out for the cake. With barely three weeks left, and after sending her several email follow ups, I can feel she's not into my party. Aaargghh!! Why?!! For the past week, I am stressed with her delivery. I think it even caused me sleepless nights, waiting for her email response. Now aside from diet pills, I am afraid I need to get myself eye cream for dark circles to cover my stress and sleepless nights on the day of the party. Naturally I don't want to look old and all stressed-out! Any wise suggestions other than being patient to my cake supplier?

happy weight result

I am happy with my physical appearance lately. Slowly improving and not as big (and fat) as I used to be. Nope, I haven't achieved my desired weight yet. That is, trimming off 15 lbs from my post preggo weight. But slowly, I can feel that I am gradually losing weight. Thanks to my constant search for an effective and safe diet pills. I can safely say that it is working! =) Aside from keeping me slim by increasing my metabolism rate or burn my food intake, I believe it also helps that I am encouraged to eat less given my recent loss of weight. My dress size from large to small, from size 10 down to 8! tee-hee!! Never been happier with my weight loss result. =)

christmas list

Have you made your Christmas list? I've been very busy lately with my party planning for the kids' birthdays that I have forgotten that holidays almost here ... with just barely sixty days to go, I haven't started scouting for best gifts to give for my loved ones. Good thing my friend recommended an online christmas gift store, and since I liked the idea of giving personalized items to my family, the christmas gift store just perfect site for me to complete my christmas list without hassle and fuss! It would be very cool to give personalized items such as plates, jammies and even stepping stones for my family. And the price ... truly affordable and buying it so easy and convenient. Do check it out ...

party updates

Before I read more about hydroxycut reviews ; allow me to share party updates for my kids Migo and Samantha. So far, party preps already in full swing, everything settled with just few minute details need to iron out with my party coordinator. Invites already sent, and already received confirmation from some of our guests. Budget-wise for the party, almost completed. I've paid almost seventy-percent of the suppliers. Thanks to the husband's generosity, he made everything possible. One pending item for confirmation, cake! Still unsure yet if will do one cake for each celebrant or one huge cake ... still in finalization stage. And with three weeks to go, I am one uber excited mom for the party.

on becoming a chef

Do you know before I entered the telecommunications industry my career in sales started from the hospitality industry? And since I am a graduate of Business particularly Hotel and Restaurant Administration, I am very familiar with the hotel industry work. From the front office work to back office support, I know my ins and outs. There are days that I miss the service industry so much. I miss doing chef work and be assigned in hot kitchen. I used to enjoy being a sous chef, and how I dream to be a good chef someday. But alas, my fate changed. Instead of pursuing my career in hospitality industry, ended up in the telecoms. And my dream to become a great chef, it came true. I became my own chef in my lovely home. Much better.

home tasks

The uncle is so busy these past few weeks, thus he asked me to do some errands for him. Aside from taking care of his minor home renovation, a room painting job. He also wanted me to check out motor home repairs for him. So far, the painting job right on schedule but I am having difficulty choosing the right supplier for his motor home repairs. Any tried and tested partner for this? Please let me know as I need to provide my uncle freedback by end of the week.

BV next ...

And my bag list keeps on growing and growing ... after my unsuccessful search for my Chanel cambon bag in Paris, I am now dying to get my hands on a new bag this time. Yes, after buying few LVs, and LCs ... I am into BV this time -- a Bottega Veneta. I've been searching my dream BV for quite sometime and finally, I've decided to get myself a BV intrecciato classic in hobo style. Yes, it will be my first time to own a hobo bag. And I am hoping it will be a right choice. Hahaha. Now I am in dilemma .... should I get my first BV in black or choco brown?

smoking cigar

Have you tried smoking cigars? My colleagues told me that they've tried Dutch Master cigars. So far, they liked the flavor as it good up to the last puff. One of our clients from LA brought packs of Dutch Masters and as per him, these cigars are America's favorite natural wrapped cigar, and have been sold in the U.S. since 1911. They are instantly recognizable for their distinctive packaging featuring Rembrandt's famous painting, and for the characteristically smooth, mild, mellow flavor and aroma. True to its word. My colleagues liked it and asking for more. Hehehe! =)

off to Palawan

Next weekend, my friends and I will be off to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. I am so excited and just can't wait! You see, despite the rainy weather the past few days here in Manila, the Palawan islands promised to be a sun, shiny weather next weekend. Thus, aside from enjoying the beach, island hopping and snorkeling ... I look forward to shrimps and crabs galore. THE ultimate food trip.

Honda Bay - Palawan

One of the Philippine's premiere tourist destinations, Honda Bay, Palawan island is also known as the "The Last Frontier". It is host to several of the most exclusive resorts in the country. With its white sand beaches, magnificent landscape, fishing villages and rainforests, it is a favorable destination of adventurers and nature lovers. The province has several sites that attract divers from various parts of the world. In the city center of Puerto Princesa, hall of fame awardee for the cleanest and greenest city in the country, several tourist spots can be seen in a one day tour. This would include Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm, the world's largest prison "without bars", and the Kamarikutan Gallery. The city's best offering is the St. Paul Subterranean National Park that is famed for its 8.2 kilometer log river, said to be the longest of its kind in the world.

happy news

Received a text message from my colleague, one of our preggy friend already gave birth the other night. The baby was born a week ahead of it's scheduled ceasarian operation. But despite the early sched, everything was normal. The new baby named Skye, was born 50cm long, and tipped the scales at 6.11lbs. The proud parents, Beng and Rho ecstatic with the new addition on their family. After nine years, they were blessed with another baby girl. Equally pretty like their first born, Nica. To my good friends, Beng and Rhoand ... congratulations! Looking forward to her baptism party by next year =)

Trick or Treat outfits

And before thinking all those Christmas wish list and holiday brouhaha, one must not forget the Halloween Trick and Treat Activity for kids this coming November. I haven't decided yet if I'll let my kids wear something cutie or scary this year, but so far the little girl already started dropping hints that she wanted to be pretty and sweet this time. She's been eyeing to be like a fairy, Tinkerbell for the Halloween party in school as she wants to be have wings and wand. I haven't given much thought, but as I browse the web for possible halloween costumes , I so want to get the little boy the robot costume. Do you think at one year old he can carry the Ironman outfit? Real cutie. Anyway, check some of the cute costumes I found on the net =)

early Christmas wish

90 days before Christmas ... could this true? Time flies so fast! It felt like summer ain't over yet as I've just recently blogged our last Singapore summer escapade, and now the holiday season already slowly creeping around the corner. I can hear the Christmas jingles played in some of our local malls, and Christmas decors and goodies displayed on racks. In fact, most of the malls now starting to conduct clearance sales in preparation of the holiday shopping. And speaking of all these holiday brouhaha, I better start doing my Christmas list. This season, I am thinking of getting something practical for myself and family. My intial list includes the following:
1. set of eight crab crackers
2. brandnew rice dispenser - our old one served it's purpose for the past six years and needs to be retired.
3. emergency light - obviously for emergency brown-outs
4. a set of iPod auxillary cable for both of our cars
5. sexy hot lingerie to be worn on Christmas eve (naughty! naughty!)
6. new set of pillows ... hoping I can get the expensive ones made of goose feathers =)
7. set of twelve charger plates with holiday prints for parties
Hmmm... mostly for home use eh. How about you, have you made your intial wish list?

the party outfits

I've been so busy with work lately that I almost forgot to update you peeps with my party preps. So far, everything seemed going well with my plans. I've already booked most of my party suppliers, and even provided sixty-percent of downpayments to them. And with barely two months left before the big day, I am more concerned now with the party outfits. Almost missed this one! Getting a jungle safari for the celebrants not easy at all. I've been trying to shop online for the appropriate theme costume, and so far ... no luck at all. If only I had the barnyard or the cowboy theme, getting an outfit like an equestrian apparel would be smooth and easy. Most of the costumes I browsed online geared to cowboy and wild, wild west parties and I am seriously considering of getting them. Oh, if only I could ...

a sneak peek

As I previously blogged, I was out for a three-day conference in a sun-shiny town named Mactan, Cebu. And for three-days, the husband and I stayed at Crimson Resort and Spa. Newly-built resort hotel down south of the archipelago. I was told that the resort is still at soft launch stage, and so far ...so good. Not yet formally opened its doors to the public, and with the target launch by October 8, 2010.. everything in full swing now. Both construction and maintenance working overtime to make it ready by then. Anyway, here's a sneak peek of Crimson Resort and Spa. Enjoy photos below while I shop online for mbt shoes I can bring on my next travel =)

anniversary gift

With barely five months away, I am now thinking of fabulous gifts to get the husband for our anniversary. I don't know if it's just a phase, or call it 7-year itch anniversary ideas but every year, buying a surprise gift for the husband is always a challenge. Two years ago, I got him a very expensive watch and after this, I haven't got him present to top that. Thus for next year, I am planning to give him a surprise trip ...perhaps, travel somewhere private and secluded with just the two of us. Splurge on a trip! Perhaps go to places we haven't explored together like Amanpulo, Maldives or Kota Kinabalu. Or probably go something traditional and get him gifts made of copper like bracelet or necklace. Or to be modern about it, get him a nice stylish pen. Hmmm...nothing definite. First need to allot budget for my surprise gift. No idea where I would get it, but definitely will give the husband something meaningful and memorable for our upcoming anniversary.

new gadget

The husband and I are thinking of getting an iPad for ourselves as Christmas present. I've been bugging him to replace my old Compaq laptop eversince the battery was busted, and to upgrade my unit to iPad. He's slowly sold with the idea of upgrading my present laptop unit but he's thinking of getting me more durable gadget, an IBM perhaps with sleek design, higher memory capacity and upgraded OS package. He saw good deal from buy.com and he's thinking of getting it online and have it shipped to my aunt in New York in time for Christmas. Any info you can share for hot laptops?

souvenir tokens

As I've mentioned on my previous post, I am on my sixth year as a delegate for Asian Carrier Conference in th sun-shiny Cebu City. As I've always attended the conference, I've ran out of creative ideas in giving promotional products to my clients. Our company already provided sign pens, passport holders, business card holders, notebooks, USBs with our company logo ... and this year, we decided to give elegant luggage tags. Very beautiful and classy. In fact, I am getting compliments that it is functional souvenir to our foreign clients. And with just few weeks away from the holiday season, I am again mentally challenged what to give next. Any suggestions? =)

something in green ... and in red.

After getting something in green (kiwi) in matching small and large short handle sizes ...

I got something red this time from Magnums.net.

Despite owning several branded bags ... I can't resist. Especially with the good promo price and low dollar rates ($1 = P44) , I can't say no! Hahaha! I hate to admit it, yes ... I am absolutely crazy over longchamps and I can be easily persuaded by my online twittmates. No EQ at all.

love my job

One of the things why I love joining the Asian Carrier Conference yearly is I love connecting with people. I am in sales and marketing, and talking to people is like breathing for air for me. Hahaha! And every year, I get to meet new partners and explore business opportunities with them. Aside from meeting and enjoying the company, I learn new things from then such as new cable routes, new products available in the market, new technologies (such as IPV6 and CDN) and more. This year, my presence in the ACC was very productive as I hooked up with new partners for our company. I love, love my job in the telecoms industry as sales. Wouldn't trade my work with any high paying tech jobs available in the telecoms industry. Love people and drive new sales than being stuck in operations. Hahaha!

back in the conference

Yes, back in the sun-shiny Cebu ... my second best fave summer local destination. Yes, back to the annual telecoms conference. This year, though I plan to be on vacation ... I ended up working again. And since the husband had a last minute changes in the conference. He messed with our hotel booking. We ended up losing our slot at Shang-rila Mactan, but ended up getting Crimson Resort and Spa. Another premium resort development under the Fil-Estate and DMCI Homes. The place is at it's soft opening stage, and as early as now I wonder if they will offer a time-sharing stay. Though I cannot ask my local bank to finance property for us here in Cebu, I hope they do accept asset based lending collaterals. Probably one of our small properties for a time-sharing vacation spot at Crimson Restrt and Spa. =)

happy news at work

Last Monday, our sales department was surprised with the happy annonuncement from one of our colleagues. She proudly announced after seven years, she's finally expecting a baby! Naturally, we were all happy with the good news. New baby in the team means new blessings! Hahaha! But seriously, we know that the couple waited for so long to have this joyful blessing. And to ensure that everything will be well, we mothers recommended to immediately consider prenatal one multivitamin. As a mom, I know the importance of taking prenatal vitamins to ensure proper development of the baby especially on the first trimester of pregnancy. It helps with the bone formation of the child, as well as essential organs to survive the stages of infancy development. Good thing my colleague wasted no time to reconsider and in fact her doctor already advised her to take additional meds as well to prepare her body for the growth of the baby inside her womb. To my colleague Cindy, congratulations! Praying for your safe pregnancy ...

on losing weight

My younger sister and I was all out for a friendly debate last weekend deciding what are the best diet pills available in the market nowadays. You see, both of us gained so much weight after giving birth and we haven't gotten our pre-preggo figure back. We tried several ways on how to lose weight such as dancing , gym excercises, belly-dancing, boxing and even running but so far, it was not successful for us. The result was slow and we end up eating more after all the rigorous activities. So we decided to take the immediate and easy way out, diet pills! My little sister, the adventurous one tried different diet pills and so far, she's happy with her appetite suppression pill. While I, the less risk taker decided to take the all natural L-carnitine pill which acts asfat burning pill to increase my metabolism. We haven't decided yet which one is effective as we just started our pill intake for over a month. So far, we both see positive results and we are plannnig to comapre our notes after three months period to see which one is effective. No promises yet, but let's see if our diet plan works! Wish us luck =)

still sick

It's been a week and we still have sickies in the house. My little daughter not yet fully recovered from her bad cough and as for me ... still terrible and sick. After three days of being away from work due to flu, I still have the virus. Despite drinking meds round the clock, lots of fluids and doubled my intake of multivitamin, still not working. My body is too weak to fight it off! Worst, I need to be back to my normal self prior my travel this coming Tuesday for a conference in Cebu. Otherwise, I will be forced to take leave of absence and will miss all my set meetings. Too bad. I need a miracle to be cured asap. Any suggestions?

finding my muse

My blogging friends knew that I've been searching for something black and gold to perk me up. And since I am looking for an inspiration, my muse ... the answer came in the form of Yves Saint Laurent Muse. a Black Muse! Hahaha! The oversized or large muse seems pretty,eh. Now I so want it! I was even more inspired to get one since our local store, Rustan's carry the YSL muse brand on a friendly payment scheme. Hahaha! Now if I could only go out today and purchase my muse ... hahaha! let's see how long I can wait =)

And just look how lovely the black muse on Jessica Alba ... very classy and corporate eh. Perfect for my work.

migraine treatment

Lately, I am experiencing bad migraines. At first, I thought due to my irregular sleeping patterns but it's not. My hunch, my painful migraines may be eye-related brought by over exposure infront of computers (due to social networking sites, blogging and twitter) which I haven't validated yet. I've been reading the web for possible migraine treatment and so far, I've found the natural ingredient to be the most effective pill to treat migraines. It is fast, and provide best result in matter of minutes. Do check it out ...

diet plans

Any suggestions for weight loss programs? My colleagues and I are looking for possible weight loss activities that we can implement in the office so as to inspire and motivate one another to lose those unwanted fats. Our Human Resources already tried yoga, aerobics and hiphop dancing, and happily many of our colleagues joined the class. For this quarter, we want to try a different program so as not to bore our participants. Any suggestions for an effective and super fun weight loss programs ?

pretty duo

This is me and my little bratinella, Samantha. Pretty duo, right? My friends were asking how I lost weight after giving birth ten months ago, and I told them it was no secret at all. Aside from watching my diet and avoiding too much sweets and carbs, I also did some fat burning exercises to trim those unwanted fats. Though the result was not fast, but it helped contribute in losing weight. Try it.

a garden party, perhaps?

No ... not another theme party for my kids. But, I am drooling over the Hermes garden party tote. As I cannot afford to get myself Hermes Birkin bag ( so much social injustice, anyway!LOL) in my lifetime ... why can't I get more price-friendly item from Hermes? A garden party PM tote, perhaps. Hahaha! Who would have thought that the sassy company like Hermes would name their bag after a functional garden tool bag. Hehehe! But nevetheless, I soo want. It's part of my Christmas wish list already. Yay!Of course, if I ever do settle on Hermes GPT bag, would definitely get myself the familiar Hermes orange color in TPM. To be on the safe (and conservtive) side. As I love, love, love how the orange-y look brings life to any dull outfit. Hahaha! And it was really beautiful when I saw it weeks ago IRL. TDF. Almost bought it, but decided to be sane than buy it on an impulse. Hahaha!

And so my Christmas wish list begins ...

cost cutting solutions

As it is budget season again, our company is looking for possible ways to cut down our OPEX spendings for next year. And one of the items they've noticed, was the extensive us of printing materials such as paper and printer ink which yielded to above the board budget of 185% total spendings compared to our pervious 2009 budget. Really high versus other marketing material expenses incur month on month. Thus to save on cost, our sales operations head suggested instead of printing too many papers for sales flyers, proposal copies and rate cards, is to invest on xerox phaser 8560. We were told that it provides good quality print output with less cost. Very affordable at around $140.00 versus buying printer ink thrice a month. A one time CAPEX investment, but truly beneficial OPEX savings. Sounds promising eh, let's see.

grocery trip

Just came from the grocery earlier, and was so pissed with the sales attendant who facilitated my grocery transaction. I don't know how it happened, but I almost ended up paying an item worth P195.50 twice. Good thing the husband noticed that the cashier swiped the item at the barcode scanner more than once, which erroneously resulted to double reading or billing. The husband immediately called the cashier's attention to reverse the charging, but the cashier proceeded swiping some of our items without stopping. Grrrr... not listening. And to make the matter worst, the mistake could have been corrected in a jiffy, but the absent-minded cashier decided to cancel the transaction and re-do the entire process. Goodness, more than twenty minutes of our time wasted by the cashier. Very bad, since we missed the little girl's favorite bakery store for her cheese floss bread.

next on my list

And all along I thought I already ended my bag wish list! NOT. Well I guess women can't have too many bags (and shoes) anyway! LOL

After getting my dream C classic flap bag few months ago from Paris ... my C list keeps on going and going. Hahaha! Now I am lusting over Chanel Cambon Large Shopping Bag : black patent on black. It's an additional item on my revived bag wish list as of last week. Tee-hee! Not that I plan to get it next coming months or for the Christmas holidays ... that will be too soon for me. BUT, I am thinking of asking another friend (who is Paris-bound by March 2011) to get it for me. Hah, Paris ... my haven for C bags! What do you think? Any idea how much this baby would be?

a gentle reminder

Just received mail from our insurance company today, reminder for our annual premium payments for the husband's term life insurance. It is up for payment due again and I almost forgot to set aside budget for this. You see, I've been very busy tweaking our monthly expense budget for the past months to accommodate the little boy's first birthday party, and the insurance premium ...aahhh, almost missed it! Good thing our insurance company sends reminder notices for the payment due dates. Otherwise, if it hadn't ... I might have totally forgotten about it. Which means, payment lapses on our end and will require additional fees to re-instate the insurance coverage. Wheew!! Thanks to gentle reminders sent by the company, with thousands of things of my mind lately ... little reminder would truly help. :)

gadget shopping

We are already on the -BER months. Meaning, holidays almost here. Giant malls already starting to put up Clearance SALE items to give way for new stocks for the holiday shoppings. Radio stations already playing Christmas songs and next thing you know, the Christmas rush already creeping up on you. And before start of any holiday festivities, I think I need replace our old Sony camcorder. It's a mini-DV camcorder which served it's purpose for the past four years. It served us well during past holidays, not only used for birthdays, school activities but also part of our family trips here and abroad. In fact, I think we have enough mini DV collection already to cover one huge shoe box accumulated over the years. All for posterity sake, documenting family outings and reunions. And to give my old camcorder a rest, need to find a replacement fast. Any brand and model suggestions?

stop haunting me!

I am being haunted by this black Prada shoulder bag eversince I saw this bag carried by a lovely lady few weeks ago at UCC Cafe Podium. I am not a big Prada fan. In fact Prada bags are least of my top bag brand choices but at that precise moment I saw the bag sashayed infront of me ... I was smitten! Now I can't top thinking about her. I tried googling it, and to my dismay I can't find this bag from the official website of Prada. Ugh! I hate this feeling. The more elusive for me to find, the more I am determined to get her. Now it haunts me even in my sleep.

Oh please, can somebody help me from this madness! Please be an angel and tell me where I can get her, or any idea what style or model this bag could be. Al l know is the bag code which I am not sure if this is the correct code :pra040w-BLO688-UXK-002
