The World is Mine.

Those who own the world see it differently. What most consider conventional contradictions, they see as a seamless fusion. Bold yet refined. Rugged yet stylish. Brimming with power, yet safe as home. A symbol of strength, yet a vision of beauty. Teeming with cutting-edge technology, yet interfaces effortlessly with its master. A luxury SUV unlike any other - the new Toyota Fortuner.

Very nice caption ... it gives you sense of power and control. Makes you proud and fortunate (kaya nga fortuner brand name nya, bwahahaha!) of owning one. And we are happy to say, we are now proud parents of this car. The dream of owning big, family SUV car ... finally a dream come true!

The car was released today at 240pm from Toyota, Ortigas. Since hubby was needed back at his office, he allowed (and trusted!) me to drive the car from the casa to our house. As in alone ha!! It was my first time to drive SUV...as in ever, in my entire life!! Hence despite the cold aircon of the car, my palms and feet were sweaty! As in praning the entire drive! Naka-hazard pa ako nyan on my way home! lol.

Look at our pictures below, di naman kami mukhang excited sa casa kanina noh?!?!

Our new baby arrived safely at half past three. Fits just perfect inside our garage. Real beauty!

No travel plans yet for "break-in" this Lenten Season. :)

So ... no more bags, watch, shoes and shopping galore for me for the next couple of years. Less starbucks coffee, extravagant travel plans and expensive dining na rin siguro! Hahaha! With the new baby, need to be a responsible parent, you know! Ako taya paying the monthly dues for this car...kaya, the world is really mine! nyahahaha!

I hope we really made the right choice ... well, I believe it was really a good decision.

wow. brand new car. our dream car is toyota amazon. but that's so nice. it suits you.the nice thing with 4x4 is that you will feel safe inside when you travel. but sad to say way sold our nissan patrol bcoz it's too expensive to run.

hi aggie,abie and em:

definitely no LV bags for me for the next couple of years. Kaya pala nag-wild na ako for LV buying past four months. Ito na pala sign non! hahaha!

probably little luxury na lang this year... 1 gucci bag perhaps?!?! bwahahaha! pero baka towards end of the year pa yun. ipon muna ulit! :)

Our main consideration talaga brand name: Toyota. Higher re-sale value compared to Ford. Cost of parts and maintenance, cheaper compared to Ford..american car pa rin kasi yun eh. And, if madami available parts sa Banawe!! lol. you know this place ba?!? famous place dito sa Manila puro car parts benta, as in cheaper price pa. Joke nga dito kasi from "carnapped" cars daw galing...na chop-chop para ibenta. Hahaha!

thanks for your inputs ha! talagang trusted talaga pala toyota noh! grabe, 14 years na car mo..wow, fully recovered mo na yun cost nyan :)

sheila, kelly:

we got the 4x2 diesel type. Medyo mahal yun 4x4 variant...ala na kami budget! hahaha!

Anyway, mostly city driving naman sya kasi, we don't need 4x4 powered... underutilized and sayang lang yun capability niya ihataw! :) And, we don't go to province or long drive naman..siguro 2x lang per quarter na tipong Tagaytay or Subic lang :)

My main concern now...mahal na pa-car wash nito! laki na eh..and madami na car shampoo maubos! hahaha! B

Em,

I am diet coke fanatic (lately, coke zero). If I need caffeine booster, P20 lang sa vendo sa office! hahaha! tipid noh! :)

farah,

really, really nice din yun Everest. good price pa with lots of freebies ie: insurance, lto, chattel/mortgage, sensor/ tire cover etc... pero if you'll think about it, one time charge/free lang ma-save mo..you need something na long term...which is cost of maintenance and re-sale value.

We had difficult time choosing over Everest, maganda din kasi reviews and performance nito eh. They've upgraded the specs too and improve gas efficiency and drive. Really worth considering!! Dito kami nagtagal to decide.

But bottomline..Toyota pa din wagi with its re-sale value! :)

youll never gow rong with toyota jacqui. between ford and toyota, toyota ko anytime. even if we have both haha. si jon asakit niya ng ulo yung explorer niya noh. mahal ng parts lakas pa sa gas as in!

as for our previa, naku best choice ever! yun ang car ni sophia gamit namin everyday. walang reklamo at all. the best pa rin japanese cars in the long run. kase american lalo naman european, susme sakit sa ulo!!!! yung new beetle namin, every trip sa casa nun no less than 40k ang bill!!!

we have the same car jacqui! except we bought ours in 2006 so luma na (and not to mention na-binyagan na ng few bumps and scratches). pati colour same heheheh cool lang.

it's really convenient esp. as a family car so much so Denis and I prefer it to our bmw. hehehe

Wow! Dream din namin ni Dicky yan, and we also love white fortuner! Ang ganda as in. Love it jacqui! Congrats!

Hi dee,

Thanks for your Toyota Fortuner feedback ha. Katuwa kasi got so many positive inputs from Toyota owners. At least, I am confident good choice talaga.

Jacqui Co-Soriano said...

hi jane,

naku ikaw pala dapat una ko ask re: car parts/maintenance feedback. Based on your experience, right choice pa din to get Toyota no! Grabe mahal pala maintenance ng beetle... susme! glad never considered mga Eurpoean-made cars! :)

Thanks ha!

jody,

jacqui, have to tell you pala, the fortuner spare tire, lagyan nyo ng lock para di mabilis nakawin kasi may cases (like sa amin, argh!) na when you park it, ninanakaw. so at least pag may lock, it'll take longer so mas matatakot yong tao. that's what we did and so far, di na naulit. hth!

Jacqui Co-Soriano said...

thanks dee for the comment.
will definitely get locks for the spare tire! mukhang mahal pa yun gulong noh?!

thanks again! :)
