Yup, you've read it right. B is for vacation.
And to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary this coming February, we are considering three vacation spots ... and all starts with the letter "B". Hahaha! I've made tentative airline and hotel accommodations; I am just waiting for the final "say" of the husband regarding the dates. You see, it's always difficult to schedule our vacation/trips because of hubby's work. But nevertheless, I already booked our travel conciding our anniversary date. So I guess that leaves the husband no choice. I've also included the kids in our travel package. Though unsure yet if we will bring the kids this time since it'll be our honeymoon trip too! Let us see ... nothing definite yet.
Anyway, our three "B"-cation options are as follows:
1. Boracay : Our No.1 fave vacation spot. Just like me, hubby will never get tired of going back to Boracay. Despite the claim of commercialism at this area, who can resist the sand and the sea of Boracay? The calling of the pristine white sand; the enchanting deep blue water, add up the colorful and happy nightlife of Bora, Just perfect for summer get-away with the kids. I've made our reservations at Two Seasons and Boracay Regency. Hopefully we get room confirmation either of the two hotels for the duration of our stay.
2. Bohol : Never been here and I look forward exploring Bohol. I was able to book our airline, and on tentatively booking at PINR. I've been dying to go check out the famous Tarsier farm, enjoy the sights while cruising Loboc River, check out chocolate hills and of course, laze around Bohol white sand. I've heard so much about this place and I want to see for myself the real beauty of Bohol.
3. Bangkok : If ever, this will be my first here in Bangkok. Amongst the three destination place, my vote goes to Bangkok. For one, the package rate I got really affordable. With 4D/3N trip at $345 per pax at Baiyoke Sky, who wouldn't grab the chance? I am excited to tour the city, visit the temples, eat authentic Thai food from the food carts/kiosk on the streets, watch the amazing elephant shows, go to Pattaya river, roam the red light city district and shop at Chatuchak Market. It seems our 4-days stay will not be enough! Hahaha! The downside, since it will be my first visit here and I am not familiar with the place, I am afraid it would be best if I don't bring the kids. Not sure how safe and child-friendly Bangkok would be, but perhaps on my next visit I can bring the kids.
So there you go ... my top B-list. Not sure which place to go. Still thinking. BUT one thing I am sure, will definitely be out to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Wohohoo!! It will be just me and hubby (i think!), and I can't simply wait!

Hi Jacqui! Napadaan lang... 5 years na pala kayo no. Ang bilis nga ng panahon. Kami 8 years na din:) And you have some nice choices of places to celebrate. If you haven't been to Bangkok, try nyo. Maganda din naman Bora and bohol pero if you want something new. I love Bangkok! We used to live there for 2 years. And I've been to most places around kasi nga sa trabaho din ni Hubby. We tried staying in Baiyoke din pero magulo yang sa baba ng hotel kasi may tiangge.If you want peaceful and a little classy try nyo yung Mandarin Oriental pero ang layo naman din sa city proper. Pero for the price ok na yan cya. Chatuckhak is super gulo pero pag feel mo bumili ng mga abobot magandang place yan! Daming tao sobra. hehe Central, Emporium, World Trade, MBK-etc stuff are nice for shopping. LV and other brands are located in Gaysorn and Emporium. Madami magawa mo sa Bangkok promise:)

uy nice sa PINR...ang ayaw ko lang doon maikli ang beach front...pero ok yung resort and ameneties at super quite...perfect for honeymoon...dyan ata namin nabuo si bela..dyan kami nag honeymoon...hehehe...
gusto ko din sa bangkok...nag research na nga ako eh, madami pala pwede puntahan sa pattaya na ma enjoy ng mga kids..pero by june or july na cguro kami....
o cge balitaan mo kami sa vacation plans nyo...

I booked baiyoke suites and baiyoke sky. Not sure which one mas ok, pero mas pricey yun baiyoke sky. $90 additional per pax for baiyoke sky. Same location lang naman sila, so I presume near sa central ito. :)
Ask ko pala, you went to pattaya? Malayo ba? Can I go at pattaya day trip lang or dapat mag-overnight ako? :)

re: two seasons bora, nawalan nga ako gana kasi fully-booked yun hotel for days na we want to go ... may wedding daw! hay, and yun asiatravel, can't give me din confirmation ng bora regency. I want kasi yun hotel namin may pool para pwede si sam. bahala na, di ko pa naman cancel airline reservation ko at bora.
re: bohol, saw your bohol pictures sa blog mo yday, nainggit ako! ganda ng bohol noh?! but unlike you and howell, di naman kami masyado maka-nature lover ni mike! hahaha! siguro next time. sayang, mura pa naman airline fare ko dito, P3.2K per head RT. hahaha!
Sure na ba yung Bangkok? If kayo lang kasi ni Mike, I vote for romantic beach escapade lalo na at kayo lang para maplan na ang baby boy! Minsan nga kasi ang hirap magplan ng vacation na kayo lang kaya if there's a chance, samantalahin na. For Bohol, I prefer staying in Alona Palm than PINR. Di halos puedeng magswim sa PINR eh. Kami kasi ni Dicky, mahilig sa mga ganyan, yung total Rest and Relaxation ang dating. Sya naman ayaw naman nyang magbangkok dahil nga sa init daw at puro shopping lang ako dun. Apparently, I love shopping in HK better than Bangkok. Pero if you haven't been there, worth to see the country also. Puro nga lang buddha ang nakita ko dun, hehehe. Did you check na rin the long holidays this year? Madami-dami ring holidays ah. Ang sarap nang magplano ng mga vacation! Kaso simut na kami sa house! Kaya ang Oz plan for the anniv, baka maudlot na naman. But like you, I still want to travel kahit local destination lang. Pag-iipunan ko talaga ito, 1 less bag muna! Hahaha. I want Palawan again, kahit Coron lang or if kaya ng budget ko El Nido! Wishful thinking!

yup..GO na bangkok finally! Matagal sumagot kasi si hubby re: vacation nya this year kaya urong-sulong ako sa pag-book.
Excited din ako sa mga temple visits na yan. Di ba kakaiba naman kesa puro shopping? :) Actually, mukhang food-trip lang gagawin namin sa Bangkok! Hahaha! And a little shopping siguro for pasalubongs. Not so much on bags na...siguro mga anik-anik na lang! No more moolah, naghahanda kami sa house re-painting this summer.
Yun bora, medy nag-iisip kami by May siguro or first week June. Nag zero-fare Cebu Pac ah, check mo. Kami, bahala na... no definite plans yet. :)
